pretzels and STDs

I guess it's become sort of a routine thing that this blog is updated on Saturdays. I kind of forgot about it yesterday, so let's just pretend that it's Saturday. >_>

So, my sister went off to college this week. Yay, or boo? IDKLOL. But, she's gone, and now it's a three-person household. Oh, for those who don't know, she went to the Cleveland Institute of Music, associated with Case Western Reserve. Yeah.

Also, there's only a week or so until school begins again. I could use maybe two weeks. School has to come eventually, just... not so soon. But whatever. I'm not a time mage or something! Just a red mage.

me and julio

Cross-cuntry (I thought it had an o?) started Monday. It's fun to realize that you're out of shape. Likewise, it's fun to get back in shape, because I feel great again. Then again, I'm a terrible distance runner anyways, so... But yeah. Heavy breathing FTW.

I saw Superbad on Friday. Sophomoric humor would obviously appeal to a pubescent male of my age, but this wasn't your average teen movie. At almost two hours long, it was not your classic 80 minute cheap laugh fest. The characters played their parts well enough for a crude comedy, and there were some really, really funny moments. Sure, there were plenty of f-bombs and penis jokes, but surprisingly there was no nudity (unless you can count penis drawings -__-). Not to mention that it portrayed perfectly the classic high school, immature insecurity that we all know best. But I'm not Roger Ebert, or even Nick G., so I'll stop now.

Also, my sister leaves for some college or something this week. ???

back

Boston was a lot of fun. Got to stay right downtown, on the 23rd floor of the 38-floor Marriott. Of course the hotel was top-notch, and the surrounding area held a ton to do. Went up the Prudential Tower, which offered an amazing view of Boston, and I could even see to Cape Cod. And speaking of cod, I went to a quality small-chain restaurant, Legal Seafoods. Amazing, fresh fish.

I may be a homosexual melodrama, but I love the panoramas of cities, night and day. Maybe it's because I live in the country. And along with beautiful things: there were a lot of gorgeous women of all ages in the city. Actually, not of all ages, as most were a bit too old for me. >_<

The thing that bugs me about city girls, though, is that the majority of them are cell phone-, tanning-, shopping-, looking sexy- obsessed. You get the idea. You'll smile at one, and they'll glare back. Bitches. I have a girlfriend anyway, and her name is Emily Haines (Metric ftw). Yeah, but not really. But yeah, womens were good, but were either slutty or taken. Or whatever. Ladies, I've said too much!

The most "exciting" part of the trip happened some hours ago at a rest stop. I... slammed the car door on my left middle finger. The door somehow managed to actually close, so for 1-2 seconds I had my finger literally stuck in the door until I opened it. It bled and swelled, and looks awesomely gross at the moment. Haven't been to a doctor; I don't think it's broken. But, for a fun Luke fact: I typed this entry with 9 fingers. And it's getting annoying. So bye.

clang clang

I don't have much to say this week. It went slowly. Sportz start soon, and I'm going on a short vacation to Boston next week. Oh, also, you know you've been watching too much Scrubs when you have a dream about it. Basically, in the dream, I was good friends with Zach Braff, and he, the Scrubs main cast, and I hung out in the gorge behind my house. Yeah, I don't know what I was smoking.

But that's about it. I hope you're enjoying your summer. Keep me in your hearts and out of your pants (???).
